MILLVILLE, NJ.- A Vineland, New Jersey,  man will spend the next three decades behind bars after being sentenced in Cumberland County Superior Court for a 2024 shooting in Millville that left one woman dead and another victim wounded.

     Cumberland County Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae announced that Eric Bundy-Johnson, 35, of Vineland, was sentenced on March 2, 2026, to 30 years in New Jersey State Prison after pleading guilty to first-degree murder.

     Under the terms of the sentence, Bundy-Johnson must serve the full 30-year prison term before becoming eligible for parole.

     The sentencing was handed down by The Honorable Cristen P. D’Arrigo, J.S.C., in Cumberland County Superior Court.

Fatal Shooting In Millville;

     The charges stem from an October 26, 2024, shooting in Millville, when authorities say Bundy-Johnson fired multiple rounds into a vehicle occupied by two people.

     One of the occupants, Bonnie Hitchens of Bridgeton, New Jersey, sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the attack. Despite medical treatment, she later succumbed to her injuries.

     The second victim, Kevin Wise, was also struck during the shooting and transported to Cooper University Hospital in Camden for treatment. Officials said Wise survived the attack and was later released from the hospital.

     Investigators determined that Bundy-Johnson had fired numerous rounds into the vehicle during the incident.

Additional Charges And Sentences;

     In addition to the murder conviction, Bundy-Johnson also received a concurrent 10-year sentence for first-degree attempted murder.

     Under New Jersey’s No Early Release Act (NERA), Bundy-Johnson must serve 85 percent of that sentence before becoming eligible for parole.

     He was further sentenced to a concurrent five-year prison term for second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon under N.J.S.A. 2C:39-5b(1). Under that sentence, Bundy-Johnson must serve three and a half years before parole eligibility.

     Because the sentences run concurrently, the 30-year murder sentence remains the controlling term.

Additional Defendant Still Facing Charges;

     Authorities also charged Francesca Delvalle, 35, of Vineland, New Jersey, in connection with the investigation.

     Delvalle faces charges of hindering apprehension and tampering with evidence. Prosecutors said those charges are still pending, and the matter remains before the court.

Investigation And Court Proceedings;

     The investigation into the deadly shooting was conducted by the Millville Police Department in coordination with the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office.

     The case was prosecuted by Assistant Prosecutor Lindsey Seidel, while Bundy-Johnson was represented by defense attorney Andrew Impirale, Esq.

     The sentencing concludes one of the more serious homicide prosecutions in Cumberland County stemming from violence in 2024.

Editor’s Note:

The charges against Francesca Delvalle remain pending, and under New Jersey law, she is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law. Information contained in this report was written by Art Fletcher and is based on statements released by the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office and court records associated with the sentencing of Eric Bundy-Johnson.
