CAMDEN, NJ.- Three Camden County residents were arrested in February following separate investigations into alleged possession and distribution of child pornography, Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay announced.

     The arrests were the result of investigations conducted by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit, working alongside task force officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department and the Camden County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities also received investigative assistance from the Cherry Hill Police Department, Haddon Township Police Department, and Pennsauken Police Department.

     According to prosecutors, the investigations led to the arrests of Kyle R. Edelstein, 38, of Pennsauken, New Jersey; Charles J. Buran, 20, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey; and Davin A. Kahoun, 23, of Gloucester Township, New Jersey, are each facing charges related to alleged possession or distribution of child pornography.

Pennsauken Man Arrested Following Lewdness Investigation;

     Kyle R. Edelstein was formally charged on February 1, 2026, with second-degree Possession of Child Ponography. Prosecutors said the charge followed an earlier investigation initiated by the Haddon Township Police Department.

     Authorities reported that on January 21, 2026, Haddon Township Police Officers responded to a complaint involving a male suspect allegedly committing a lewd act in public while in the presence of juvenile females. Detectives subsequently identified Edelstein as the suspect during the course of the investigation.

     Edelstein was arrested on January 27, 2026, in Haddon Township and transported to the Camden County Correctional Facility, where he was remanded pending court proceedings.

     Investigators seized several electronic devices believed to belong to Edelstein. According to prosecutors, a forensic examination of those devices uncovered more than 1,000 images and videos of suspected child pornography

.

     In addition to the second-degree possession charge filed February 1, 2026, Edelstein had previously been charged with two counts each of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child and fourth-degree Criminal Sexual Contact, as well as Lewdness, a disorderly persons offense under New Jersey State law.

Cherry Hill Man Accused of Online Distribution;

     In a separate investigation, Charles J. Buran, 20, of Cherry Hill, was arrested on February 4, 2026, and charged with:

  • Second-degree distribution of Child Pornography
  • Second-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Child Pornography
  • Third-degree Possession of Child Pornography

     Prosecutors said the investigation began after law enforcement received a cyber tip indicating that an online account was allegedly being used to possess and distribute child pornography.

     Detectives ultimately traced the account activity to Buran. During the course of the investigation, authorities executed a forensic examination of Buran’s cellphone, which prosecutors say contained additional suspected child pornography files.

     Buran was taken into custody in Cherry Hill and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility following his arrest.

Gloucester Township Man Arrested After CyberTip;

     A third investigation led to the arrest of Davin A. Kahoun, 23, of Gloucester Township, on February 24, 2026.

     Kahoun faces charges of:

  • Second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography
  • Second-degree Possession with Intent to Distribute Child Pornography
  • Third-degree Possession of Child Pornography

     Authorities reported that the investigation began after a cyber tip identified an online account allegedly involved in possessing and distributing child pornography. Detectives with the High Tech Crimes Unit traced the account activity to Kahoun.

     Following the investigation, Kahoun was arrested on February 24 and remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending court proceedings.

Ongoing Efforts To Combat Online Child Exploitation;

     The Camden County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crimes Unit regularly collaborates with local police departments and federal reporting systems to investigate cyber tips involving suspected child exploitation. Such tips are often generated through digital platforms or monitoring organizations that identify potential illegal activity online.

     Officials say forensic analysis of electronic devices and online accounts continues to play a central role in identifying suspects and gathering evidence in these investigations.

     All three defendants are currently facing charges under New Jersey criminal statutes governing the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

     Under New Jersey law, second-degree offenses can carry potential penalties of five to ten years in state prison, while third-degree offenses may carry sentences of three to five years, if defendants are convicted.

     All individuals charged with crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
