Thursday, April 24, 2025, 7:00 A.M. ET. 1 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

PITTSBURGH, PA.- A 35-year-old Guatemalan man is facing up to two years in federal prison after being formally charged with reentering the United States after being found residing illegally in the Western District of Pennsylvania.

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, a Federal Grand Jury for the Western District of Pennsylvania, returned an indictment charging Manuel Secaida, 35 of Guatemala with one count of Illegal Reentry into the United States by a Previously Deported Alien.

According To The U.S. Attorney’s Office

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti and charging information unsealed in the indictment, the indictment alleges that on April 1, 2025, Secaida was found within the Western District of Pennsylvania after having been removed from the United States in January 2020.

If convicted at trial, Secaido faces up to 24 months in federal prison, a fine of up to $250,000 or both. At sentencing, upon a finding of guilt, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offense and Secaida’s prior criminal history. Upon completion of any sentence imposed, Secaida will face immediate deportation proceedings and be removed from the United States.
