Monday, April 28, 2025, 11:00 A.M. ET. 2 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

WILLINGBORO, NJ.- On Friday, April 25, 2025, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw reported that following a nearly year-long investigation, the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Willingboro Township Police Department have formally charged three men in connection with fatally gunning down a 45-year-old man in May of 2024, outside a Willingboro Social Club.

Kirk Williams, 33, of Burlington City, New Jersey, Robert Cardona, 39, and Christopher Tokley, 45, both of Camden, New Jersey, have been formally charged with first-degree Murder; first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder; second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.

The charges stem from an investigation that began on May 21, 2024, when, around 9:15 p.m., members of the Willingboro Township Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at the 609 Elite Social Club located on the First Block of John F. Kennedy Way in the Township.

During the investigation, Detectives revealed that numerous individuals were outside the club when a dark-colored vehicle drove past and returned moments later. On the second pass, a gunman from inside the vehicle fired multiple gunshots toward the crowd, striking Major Hamilton, 45, in the chest. Mr. Hamilton was transported to Virtua Willingboro Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased just a little over an hour later.

Detectives determined that Mr. Hamilton was not the intended target of the shooting, and the three defendants were attempting to execute a different man who was present at the club but was not in the immediate area when the gunfire erupted.

Following the investigation, Williams was taken into custody by members of the Willingboro Township Police Department on April 10, 2025. Tolkey was apprehended by members of the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force on April 11, 2025, in Camden, New Jersey. Williams and Tolkey were processed on the charges and were remanded to the Burlington County Jail, pending future court proceedings in Burlington County Superior Court in Mount Holly, New Jersey.

Cardona was served with the charges on April 22, 2025, inside the Camden County Correctional Facility, where he is being held on an unrelated matter.
