Cranford Motorcyclist Killed Sunday Afternoon In Ringwood Crash

RINGWOOD, NJ.- A 23-year-old Cranford, New Jersey, man was tragically killed after the motorcycle he was operating collided with a Jeep Cherokee late Sunday afternoon in Ringwood, New Jersey.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, shortly around 5:30 p.m., members of the Ringwood Borough Police Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Skyline Drive and Greenwood Lake Drive in the Borough.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a crash involving a motorcycle and a Jeep Cherokee Sport Utility Vehicle. The operator of the motorcycle, identified as Michael Mendonca-Lopez, 23, of Cranford, New Jersey, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The occupants of the Jeep Cherokee did not sustain serious injuries.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing as Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
