Wednesday, May 7, 2025, 1:30 P.M. ET. 1 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

SYRACUSE, NY.- On Friday, May 2, 2025, Peter Buckshot, 28, of Massena, New York, appeared in the U.S. District for the Northern District of New York and was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Brenda K.Sannes to 24 months in federal prison, to be followed by two years of supervised release after pleading guilty to Transportation of Illegal Aliens.

According to U.S. Attorney John A. Sarcone, III, and statements made in the District Court, during his prior plea allocution, Buckshot admitted that on October 1, 2024, he picked up four aliens and citizens of Vietnam who had just illegally entered the United States from Canada.

New York State Troopers Attempt To Stop Buckshot

On the same date, at just around 12:00 p.m., Troopers with the New York State Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Buckshot for speeding in Westville, New York. Buckshot further admitted that he did not pull over and attempted to evade the Troopers. He led the Troopers on a high-speed chase, during which he drove 80 miles per hour in a 30-mile-per-hour zone and 100 miles per hour in a 55-mile-per-hour zone.

At one point, Buckshot drove over a sidewalk, hoping to avoid Troopers. He also failed to stop at a stop sign, continued to drive on the shoulder of the roadway, and unsafely passed other vehicles, eventually crashing into a tree in Fort Covington, New York. No one sustained injuries in the crash, and the four aliens jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot but were all apprehended a short time later.
