Woman Dies After Being Stabbed Early This Morning In Phillipsburg

PHILLIPSBURG, NJ.- Detectives of the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office and the Phillipsburg Police Department are continuing the investigation into the stabbing death of a 26-year-old woman that occurred early Wednesday morning in the Town of Phillipsburg, New Jersey.

     According to Acting Warren County Prosecutor Jessica L. Cardone, on Wednesday, May 16, 2025, shortly around 3:00 a.m., while on routine patrol, members of the Phillipsburg Police Department were flagged down in the 400 Block of Anderson Avenue in the Town of Phillipsburg, to assist with a 26-year-old unresponsive woman, who had apparently sustained what appeared to be stab wounds.

     Phillipsburg Police Officers and Emergency Medical Services administered life-saving measures on the scene. The woman was immediately transported to Saint Luke’s Hospital Warren Campus, where, despite life-saving efforts, the woman succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

     During the initial investigation, Detectives determined that the woman and the perpetrator were known to each other. Police have not reported if the perpetrator has been taken into custody.
