Jersey City Man & Somerset Man Charged In Hotel Armed Robberies

TEANECK, NJ.- Last Thursday, following an investigation, a 32-year-old Somerset County, New Jersey, man and a 35-year-old Hudson County, New Jersey man were taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with the armed robbery of a Bergen County Hotel and an Essex County Hotel in September 2024.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at around 5:15 a.m., members of the Teaneck Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Hampton Inn in Teaneck, New Jersey.

Upon arrival, two employees informed police officers that a masked man with a handgun entered the lobby and motioned them to the cash drawer. The armed man stole cash and fled the hotel before the employees could call the Police. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Investigations Squad and the Teaneck Police Department launched a joint investigation.
During A Months-Long Investigation, Detectives Identify Suspects
During a months-long investigation, Detectives determined that a second suspect was involved in the armed robbery and identified both suspects as Jibril M. Beamon, 32, of Somerset, New Jersey, and Shedrick A. Goodridge, III, 35, of Jersey City, New Jersey. Additionally, Detectives were able to connect both men to an unsolved armed robbery that had been committed two days prior to the Teaneck Hotel Robbery on Thursday, September 19, 2024, in Newark, New Jersey.
In that case, two masked and armed men entered the hotel lobby of the Comfort Inn in Newark, New Jersey. They approached a hotel employee and stole cash from the front desk, and fled the scene before Newark Police Officers could arrive.
Last Thursday Both Men Arrested And Charged
As a result of the investigation, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, with assistance from Somerset County law enforcement, Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Teaneck Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at Beamon’s Somerset, New Jersey residence. Beamon was taken into custody without incident and formally charged with two counts of first-degree Armed Robbery; two counts of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and two counts of second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
Beamon was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail, pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
Also, on Thursday, May 22, 2025, with the assistance of Hudson County law enforcement, Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Teaneck Police Department executed a court-authorized search warrant at Goodridge, III’s Jersey City, New Jersey residence. Goodridge, III, was taken into custody without incident and formally charged with two counts of first-degree Armed Robbery; two counts of second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Weapon; and two counts of second-degree Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
Goodridge, III, was processed on the charges and remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
