Man Fatally Gunned Down Sunday Morning In Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is continuing the search for the gunman who opened fire Sunday morning, killing a 26-year-old man on Georgia Avenue in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Sunday, May 25, 2025, shortly after 5:45 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District responded to reports of gunfire on the 3300 Block of Georgia Avenue in Northwest, D.C.
Police Find Man Shot Dead On The Street
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a man, later identified as Benjamin Coleman, 26, of Northwest, D.C., unresponsive on the ground, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services responded and pronounced Mr. Coleman deceased at the scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
