Man Fatally Gunned Down Early Sunday Morning In Northwest D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- Detectives of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 21-year-old Northeast, D.C., man who was fatally gunned down early Sunday morning on a Northwest, D.C. street.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Sunday, June 8, 2025, members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to hearing gunfire on the 1400 Block of S Street in Northwest, D.C.
Police Officers Find Man Shot Dead On Street
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Brandon Tolson, 21, of Northeast, D.C, unresponsive, having succumbed to a fatal gunshot wound. Mr. Tolson was subsequently pronounced deceased by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
