Hancock County Woman Sentenced For Methamphetamine Trafficking

WHEELING, W.VA.- A 38-year-old Colliers, West Virginia, woman, and local Hancock County, meth dealer will be spending over six years in federal prison after being sentenced on Wednesday in Federal Court in Wheeling, West Virginia on a federal narcotics crimes.

     According to Acting U.S. Attorney Randolph J. Bernard, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Jennifer Ann Miller, also known as “Jennifer Reagan ” and “Jenn,” 38, of Colliers, West Virginia, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge John Preston Bailey to 78 months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine; and Distribution of Methamphetamine.

     In handing down the sentence on Wednesday, Judge Bailey additionally sentenced Miller to a 33-month term of imprisonment for violating the terms and conditions of her supervised release and a prior felony conviction. Judge Bailey ordered the 33 months to be served concurrently with the 78 months imposed.

According To The Charging Documents Filed In The District Court

     According to the charging documents filed with the District Court, Miller had been identified as a distributor of methamphetamine and had sold methamphetamine on multiple occasions in 2022. On July 12, 2022, after selling methamphetamine to confidential informants, law enforcement Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Miller. During a subsequent court-authorized search of Miller and her vehicle, Investigators located and seized just around 361 grams of methamphetamine. Miller later pleaded guilty to the charge.

     While on pretrial release, Miller continued to distribute methamphetamine. On July 4, 2024, a Federal Grand Jury for the Northern District of West Virginia returned a second indictment charging Miller with four counts of distribution of a controlled substance, methamphetamine. Miller pled guilty to one count of the indictment, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office dismissed the remaining counts.

     Acting U.S. Attorney Bernard commended the investigative work of the Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug Task Force, the Ohio Valley Drug Task Force, and the Weirton Police Department, which led to the successful prosecution of Miller.
