Man Struck By Gunfire Early Saturday Morning In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- Police are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in the City of Paterson, after a 28-year-old man had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for a gunshot wound.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, June 21, 2025, shortly after 2:30 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of North Main Street and Haledon Avenue in the City of Paterson.
Police Officers Locate Shooting Crime Scene
Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene. While canvassing the area, Police Officers were notified that a 28-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
At this time, the investigation remains active and ongoing. Detectives are continuing to determine if the man was struck by gunfire in the area of North Main Street and North Haledon Avenue in the City of Paterson, New Jersey.
