Rockville Child Predator Sentenced For Sexual Enticement Of A Child

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 40-year-old Rockville, Maryland, man, and convicted child predator will be spending the next fourteen years in federal prison for his previously entered guilty plea to enticing a 15-year-old girl to send him sexually explicit digital images of herself over the internet.

     According to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, Jason Hanif Rehman, 40, of Rockville, Maryland, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Carl J. Nichols to 168 months in federal prison, to be followed by ten years of supervised release for his guilty plea to a federal child sex crimes offense.

     Rehman previously appeared in Federal Court in Washington, D.C., on November 21, 2024, and pleaded guilty to one count of Coercion and Enticement of a Minor. In addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge Nichols ordered Rehman, upon his release from federal prison, to register as a sex offender in the national database.

According To Charging Documents Filed With The Court

     According to the charging documents filed with the District Court, in October and November 2018, Rehman engaged in an online communication with a 15-year-old girl on Snapchat. During the online chats, Rehman directed her to produce and send him sexually explicit digital images and video files of her engaging in sexual conduct.

     During their conversations, Rehman also sent her sexually explicit photographs of himself. Over the course of five weeks, Rehman continued to coerce the teen girl into sending him sexually explicit digital images and video files of herself, and on at least two separate dates, Rehman traveled from Maryland to Washington, D.C., where he had sex with her.

     A fellow student notified school officials of the teen girl’s communications with an adult male. Investigators were able to identify Rehman as the man. Subsequently, other teens at the school reported that Rehman had sent them similarly sexually explicit messages and requests over Snapchat. 

     When Investigators located Rehman, he admitted that he had used his Snapchat account to contact the girl, and he knew she was 15 years old. He further admitted to convincing her to send him sexually explicit digital images and admitted to having sexual intercourse with her.
