Four People Gunned Down, One Fatally, Last Night In The City Of Trenton

TRENTON, NJ.- The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting, after four people were gunned down Thursday night in an apparent targeted drive-by shooting in New Jersey’s Capital City.
According to Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey, on Thursday, June 26, 2025, just shortly before 9:00 p.m., members of the Trenton Police Department responded to reports of a shooting on the 100 Block of Passaic Street in Trenton, New Jersey.
Upon Arrival, Police Officers Find Four People Shot
Upon arrival, Police Officers located four shooting victims: three men and a 16-year-old girl, all having sustained gunshot wounds. All four were immediately transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where, despite life-saving efforts, one of the men, identified as Karan Hunter, 24, of Trenton, New Jersey, succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later. The condition of the remaining victims is unknown.
Initial Investigation Determined The Four Were Shot In a Drive-By Shooting
During the initial investigation, Responding Police Officers and Detectives of the Homicide Task Force revealed that the victims were standing outside on Passaic Street when a vehicle pulled up to the victims and opened fire, striking all four individuals, before fleeing the scene.
   The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Detectives continue the search for the vehicle and the occupants.
