Millington Child Predator Sentenced For Production Of Child Pornography

MEMPHIS, TN.- A 41-year-old Millington, Tennessee, man, and a child predator, will be spending over the next decade in federal prison after being sentenced on Friday, in Federal Court in Memphis, Tennessee, for secretly filming a 12-year-old girl last summer, inside a family-owned store.

According to Interim U.S. Attorney Joseph C. Murphy, Jr., on Friday, June 27, 2025, Jeffrey Crosslin, 41, of Millington, Tennessee, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee and was sentenced by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Sheryl H. Lipman to 180 months in federal prison, to be followed by ten years of supervised release for his previously entered guilty plea to Production of Child Pornography.

On November 5, 2024, a Federal Grand Jury for the Western District of Tennessee returned a two-count indictment charging Crosslin with one count of production of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography. On March 8, 2025, Crosslin appeared in the U.S. District Court and pleaded guilty before Judge Lipman to one count of production of child pornography. In return for the guilty plea, the U.S. Attorney’s Office dismissed the remaining possession of child pornography count.

According To Court Documents

According to charging documents and statements made in the District Court, on four separate occasions in June, July, and August of 2024, Crosslin secretly photographed a twelve-year-old girl in a Munford, Tennessee, store where Crosslin worked a part-time job. In many of the photographs, the girl was sitting in a position that unintentionally exposed her inner thighs and buttocks and her clothed vaginal area.

Crosslin surreptitiously angled his cellular phone to capture the young girl in this accidentally exposed position, with a focus on her buttocks and vaginal area, during which over the four occasions Crosslin captured more than 550 digital images of the girl over the course of the summer. Of those digital images, around 30 were pornographic. On the last occasion, in August 2024, the girl noticed Crosslin taking the photos of her and reported him to her father, who, in return, notified the Munford Police Department.

According to Interim U.S. Attorney Murphy, the case was investigated by Detectives of the Munford Police Department and Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Violent Crimes Against Children Task Force, who recovered the store’s surveillance footage, which revealed Crosslin taking the August photographs, and a subsequent review of Crosslin’s cellular phone revealed the over 550 digital images he had taken that summer.

“Safeguarding our children from predators is a top priority of this office,” said Interim U.S. Attorney Paul C. Murphy. “Children should be safe in public places from those who would take advantage of their innocent behavior to secretly produce pornographic images. Because this victim had the courage to come forward, Jeffrey Crosslin was brought to justice, and our community and children are safer now. This significant sentence should serve as a warning to those who would harm children in this manner.”
