WILDWOOD, NJ.- Last Monday, following an investigation, a 28-year-old Wildwood, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and charged with allegedly engaging in explicit sexual conduct with a child.

According to Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. Sutherland, on June 16, 2025, the Wildwood Police Department contacted the Cape May County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an allegation of a child being sexually assaulted, and an investigation was launched.

During the investigation, Detectives of the Cape May County Special Victims Unit, in conjunction with the Wildwood Police Department, and following interviewing witnesses, including the child victim, Detectives found probable cause to believe Kenneth Ricardo Medina-Machado, 28, of Wildwood, New Jersey, engaged in unlawful sexual conduct with a child.

Charges Filed Against Medina-Machado

Accordingly, as a result of the investigation, Detectives filed charges against Medina-Machado, charging him with one count of second-degree Sexual Assault; two counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

On Monday, June 23, 2025, Medina-Machado surrendered to the Wildwood Police Department. He was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Cape May County Correctional Center, pending future court proceedings in Cape May County Superior Court.
