Man Arrives At Hospital After Being Struck By Gunfire In The City Of Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ.- Police are searching for the gunman, who opened fire early Saturday morning in the City of Passaic, leaving a Passaic, New Jersey man hospitalized from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Saturday, June 28, 2025, just shortly before 3:30 a.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to a report of gunfire in the area of Passaic and Essex Streets in the City of Passaic.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located evidence of a shooting crime scene but were unable to identify a victim. While canvassing the immediate area, Police Officers were notified that a 27-year-old Passaic, New Jersey, man had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey, requesting treatment for a gunshot wound.

Police Officers Learn The Victim Drove To The Hospital

     Shortly thereafter, Police Officers and Detectives responded to the Medical Center, and following interviewing the victim. Police Officers and Detectives determined that the man was struck by gunfire in the area of Passaic and Essex Street in the City of Passaic and drove himself to the Medical Center for treatment.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made as Police continue the search for the gunman and the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
