One Dead, Two Injured, Including A Boy, In Monday Night Northwest Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- Gunfire erupted in the Nation’s Capitol City, claiming the life of a Washington, D.C., man dead, and two others hospitalized, including a young boy, in a late Monday night triple shooting in Northwest, D.C.

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, June 30, 2025, just minutes before 10:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to reports of gunfire on the 1200 Block of 7th Street in Northwest, D.C.

Police Officers Find Three Shot, Including A Boy

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, unresponsive, suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, the man succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased a short time later.

     While on scene, Police Officers located two additional shooting victims, a woman and a boy, both having sustained gunshot wounds. Both victims were immediately transported to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. The condition of the woman and the boy is unknown. The identity of the man who was killed is pending identification by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and notification of next of kin.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made, as Detectives continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
