Man Struck By Gunfire Late Thursday Night In The City Of Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ.- Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding a shooting that occurred late Thursday night, in the City of Paterson, leaving a 34-year-old Passaic, New Jersey, man hospitalized from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, just shortly before 11:00 p.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunfire near the intersection of Central Avenue and Monroe Street in the downtown section of the City of Passaic.
Police Find Man Shot
Upon arrival, Police Officers found a 34-year-old Passaic, New Jersey man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported by Passaic Emergency Medical Services to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. The man’s condition is currently unknown. During the initial investigation, Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene at the location.
The investigation currently remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made, as Detectives continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
