Middletown Child Predator Pleads Guilty To Attempting A Child For Sex

Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 6:30 A.M. ET. 2 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

ALEXANDRIA, VA.- A 67-year-old Middletown, Pennsylvania, man is facing up to life in federal prison when sentenced, after pleading guilty last Tuesday to traveling from Pennsylvania to Virginia to engage in sexual conduct with a nine-year-old daughter of another person he met on a social media platform, only to find out that when he arrived, the other user was an undercover agent.

According to U.S. Attorney Erik S. Siebert, on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, Keith Allen Pinkard, 67, of Middletown, Pennsylvania, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Leonie M. Brinkema to Attempted Coercion and Enticement of a Minor.

Pinkard Faces Up To Life In Federal Prison

Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Brinkema accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for September 30, 2025. At that time, Pinkard faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to life in federal prison, a term of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. At sentencing, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offense and Pinkard’s prior criminal history, if any.

According to court documents, on May 1, 2025, during an undercover child sex crimes investigation, Pinkard sent a private message to another user on a social media platform, unaware that the other user was an undercover Federal Bureau of Investigation Agent. Pinkard told the user that he was seeking “a new platmate” for an “ongoing adventure.”

Pinkard Traveled To Virginia To Engage In Sex With A Child

During the chats, the two discussed their interests, including Pinkard’s interest in young girls, leading to a discussion of the other user’s purported 9-year-old daughter. Pinkard expressed interest in meeting the other user in person and engaging in sex acts with the purported nine-year-old girl. Pinkard said he was ready to commit “to a regular thing” with the child and that he wanted to present the child with a gift before going to the child’s bedroom. Pinkard and the other user arranged to meet at a coffee shop the following week and then walk together to the other user’s residence, where the purported child would be waiting.

On May 6, 2025, Pinkard arrived at the agreed-upon location in Virginia, where he was apprehended by Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. During a subsequent search of Pinkard’s vehicle, Agents found a gift bag containing a coloring book, colored pencils, and two packs of candy, as well as an Easter basket with candy. Pinkard also had an image of a child engaged in sexually explicit conduct on his cellular phone.
