Police Searching For Suspects Wanted In July 4th Southwest, D.C. Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects wanted in connection with the July 4, 2025, early morning shooting of a man in Southwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Friday, July 4, 2025, just shortly before 12:30 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s First District responded to 911 Emergency Calls reporting gunfire near the intersection of P Street and Carrollsburg Place in Southwest, D.C.
Upon Arrival, Police Officers Find Evidence Of A Shooting
Upon arrival, Police Officers found evidence of a shooting crime scene and were informed that a vehicle had entered the intersection when a group of suspects began firing and striking the vehicle. Responding Police Officers were unable to locate the vehicle or a victim.
Detectives Are Informed That A Man Arrived At The Hospital With Gunshot Wounds
While collecting evidence at the scene, First District Police Officers and Detectives were notified that a man, suffering from non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, had arrived at a nearby hospital seeking treatment. Detectives responded to the hospital, interviewed the victim, and located the damaged vehicle.
During the ensuing investigation, Detectives recovered area surveillance camera footage that captured the suspects and can be seen in the above photo.
