Andover Man Pleads Guilty To Producing & Possessing Child Porn

CONCORD, NH.- A 37-year-old Andover, New Hampshire, man will be facing up to 100 years in federal prison when sentenced later this year, after pleading guilty last Wednesday, to multiple federal counts of child sexual exploitation offenses involving a child that he sexually assaulted and filmed.

     According to Acting U.S. Attorney Jay McCormack, on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, Dale Howe, 37, of Andover, New Hampshire, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Paul J. Barbadoro to a federal information charging him with three counts of Production of Child Pornography; and one count of Possession of Child Pornography.

Howe Will Be Facing Up To 100 Years In Federal Prison

     Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Barbadora accepted his plea and scheduled sentencing for November 5, 2025. At that time, Howe faces on each count of production of child pornography a mandatory minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in federal prison, at least five years, and up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine. On the charge of possession of child pornography, Howe faces up to 10 years in federal prison, at least five years of supervised release, and a $250,000 fine.

     At sentencing, a U.S. District Court Judge will determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offenses and Howe’s prior criminal history.

According To The Charging Information Filed With The Court

     According to charging documents and statements made during Wednesday’s plea hearing, during an online child pornography investigation, Investigators uncovered that Howe had provided drugs to a child and then sexually assaulted the child. Howe then created digital images of the sexual abuse, which were found during a court-authorized search of his cellular phone.

     Investigators also uncovered that Howe distributed at least three of the digital images he created through a social media platform. Howe was also in possession of more than 3,500 media files of unrelated child sexual abuse material.

     Acting U.S. Attorney McCormack commended the investigative work of Homeland Security Investigations, the Andover Police Department, the New Hampshire State Police, the Merrimack County Sheriff’s Office, the New Hampshire Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the assistance of the Derry Police Department for the arrest, which resulted in Howe’s guilty plea on Wednesday.
