Washington D.C. Man Sentenced For Road Rage Assault Of Senior Citizen

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 56-year-old Washington, D.C., man will be spending the next 30 months in prison, after being sentenced on Tuesday, for attacking a senior citizen with a knife during a March 1, 2025, road rage incident in Northeast, D.C.

     According to U.S. Attorney Jeanine Ferris Pirro, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Ronald Hall, 56, of Washington, D.C., appeared in the Superior Court for the District of Columbia and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Carmen Mclean to 36 months in prison, requiring Hall to serve 30 months of his custodial term, suspending the final six months of the term, to be followed by two years of supervised release for his May 30, 2025, guilty plea to Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

According To Charging Information Filed With The Court

     According to charging documents and evidence presented to the Superior Court, on March 1, 2025, Hall and the elderly victim got into a motor vehicle accident on the 3900 Block of East Capitol Street in Northeast, D.C. Following the collision, Hall chased the victim through traffic and attempted to stab the victim with a knife.

     D.C. Metropolitan Police Officers responded to the collision and quickly apprehended Hall at the scene.

     U.S. Attorney Pirro and D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith commended members of the Metropolitan Police Department for their quick response in the apprehension and prosecution of Hall.
