BOSTON, MA.- A 31-year-old Dominican national, illegally residing in Lawrence, Massachusetts, will most likely be facing immediate deportation next week, after pleading guilty on Thursday, to unlawfully being in the United States by a previously deported alien.

According to U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley, on Thursday, July 31, 2025, Eddy Antonio Perdomo, 31, of the Dominican Republic, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and pleaded guilty before U.S. District Court Judge Patti B. Saris to a federal information charging him with one count of Illegal Reentry into the United States by a Deported Alien.

Following entering his guilty plea on Thursday, Judge Saris accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Federal Court in Boston, Massachusetts. At that time, Perdomo will most likely be sentenced to time served and be turned over to the custody of Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be removed from the United States back to the Dominican Republic.

Perdomo Was Found Illegally In Lawrence, Massachusetts

According to the charging information filed with the District Court, Perdomo was deported from the United States to the Dominican Republic on October 3, 2023. Sometime after his October 2023 removal, Perdomo, on an unknown date at an unknown location, reentered the United States without obtaining permission or legal authorization to do so, after he was found unlawfully in Lawrence, Massachusetts.

Perdomo, who has been in federal custody since his initial arrest, was indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in June 2025.

The charge of illegal reentry by a previously deported alien provides for a sentence of up to two years in federal prison, one year of supervised release, and a fine of up to $250,000. Upon completion of any sentence imposed, Perdomo will be subject to immediate deportation proceedings.

U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley commended the investigative work of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Enforcement Removal Operations for the apprehension and Thursday’s guilty plea.
