Two Shot Dead Inside A Hunterdon County Home Saturday Afternoon

PITTSTOWN, NJ.- Detectives of the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office and the Franklin Township Police Department are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of a 33-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, who were found shot dead early Saturday afternoon inside a residence in the Pittstown section of Franklin Township, New Jersey.

     According to Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renee Robeson, on Saturday, August 2, 2025, just shortly before 12:30 p.m., members of the Franklin Township Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting an unconscious woman with apparent physical trauma inside a residence located on Upper Kingtown Road in the Pittstown section of Franklin Township, New Jersey.

Upon Arrival, Police Officers Find Man And Woman Shot Dead

     Upon arrival, Police Officers found two deceased individuals, who had succumbed to apparent gunshot wounds, in what Detectives believe was a targeted act. The victims have been identified as Lauren Semanchik, 33, of Pittstown, New Jersey, and Tyler Webb, 29, of Forked River, New Jersey. Both Ms. Semanchik and Mr. Webb were subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

Detectives Have Reported That There Is No Danger To The Public At This Time

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. Although investigators have not released a motive for the shooting, they have reported that there is no immediate danger to the public. More information may become available once it is released by authorities.
