Police Searching For Suspect In Early Sunday Morning Shooting In Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic Police Department are continuing their search for the suspect who opened fire early Sunday morning in the City of Passaic, New Jersey.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, August 3, 2025, just shortly after 1:30 a.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of Sherman Street and Lexington Avenue in the City of Passaic.

Police Find Shooting Crime Scene

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located evidence of a shooting crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. During the initial investigation, Police Officers canvassed the immediate area and, following inquiries with area hospitals, it was determined that no one was injured in the shooting.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been made.
