Titusville Man Charged With Multiple Counts Of Child Exploitation

Tuesday, August 5, 2025, 6:45 A.M. ET. 2 Minute Read, By Art Fletcher: Englebrook Independent News,

ERIE, PA.- A 20-year-old Titusville, Pennsylvania, man, will be facing up to three decades in federal prison if convicted, after being formally indicted last week for coercing and enticing a child to engage in sexually explicit conduct.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, a Federal Grand Jury for the Western District of Pennsylvania returned an indictment charging David Garrett Struchen, 20, of Titusville, Pennsylvania, with Sexual Exploitation of a Minor; Production of Child Pornography; Possession of Child Pornography; and Distribution of Child Pornography.

According To The Charging Information In The Indictment

According to the charging information unsealed in the indictment, it is alleged that between June and July 2024, Struchen coerced, enticed, and induced a child to engage in sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing sexually explicit depictions of the conduct. The indictment further alleges that Struchen also possessed the images and then distributed them to the child.

If convicted at trial, Struchen is facing up to 30 years in federal prison, at least five years, and up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a fine of up to $500,000. At sentencing, upon a finding of guilt, a U.S. District Court Judge would determine the term of imprisonment based on the seriousness of the offenses and Struchen’s prior criminal history, if any.

Acting U.S. Attorney Rivetti commended the investigative work of the Titusville Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which led to the indictment.

“The rules of the federal court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
