Man Fatally Gunned Down Monday Night In Northwest D.C., Logan Circle

WASHINGTON, DC.- A 33-year-old Northwest, D.C., man became the 100th victim this year to fall prey to the never-ending violence plaguing the Nation’s Capitol City, after he was fatally gunned down early Monday evening in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Monday, August 11, 2025, shortly before 7:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to reports of gunfire on the 1200 Block of 12th Street in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Northwest, D.C.
Upon Arrival, Police Officers Find Man Shot Multiple Times
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, later identified as Tymark Wells, 33, of Northwest, D.C., unresponsive on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Wells was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, Mr. Wells succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased shortly after arrival.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported at this time, as Detectives continue the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of Mr. Wells.
