MEDFORD, NJ.- Late last month, following an investigation, a 45-year-old Burlington City, New Jersey, man employed at a Medford Township, New Jersey, care facility that provides services to adults with disabilities was taken into custody and charged in connection with the alleged physical abuse of a patient under his care.
According to Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia L. Bradshaw, Fuller P. Williams, 45, of Burlington City, New Jersey, was formally charged with one count of third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Disabled Adult; and a Disorderly Persons Offense of Simple Assault. Williams was taken into custody on July 29, 2025. He was processed on the charges and released, pending future court proceedings in Burlington County Superior Court in Mount Holly, New Jersey.
Charges Stem From An Investigation After Staff Found Injuries On A Disabled Adult
The charges stem from an investigation that began earlier this summer, when members of the Medford Township Police Department responded to a report of a suspected abuse incident at the Cyrus Adult Day Services Program, located on the First Block of White Birch Trail in the Township.
During the ensuing investigation, Detectives of the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Medford Township Police Department determined that Williams beat an autistic adult male with a thin cord, causing multiple injuries and welts to the man’s back and buttocks. The injuries were discovered by other staff members of the facility, who promptly contacted law enforcement authorities to report the abuse.
If convicted at trial, Williams faces up to five years in New Jersey State Prison.
