Teen Fatally Gunned Down Wednesday Night In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- A 16-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, boy tragically became the latest victim to fall prey to the continuing gun violence plaguing the streets of Paterson, New Jersey, after he was fatally gunned down late Wednesday night in the City’s Northside neighborhood.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, just shortly after 10:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to multiple reports of gunfire in the area of North 10th and Clinton Streets in the City of Paterson.
Police Officers Find Teenager Shot
Upon arrival, Police Officers were advised by area residents that a shooting victim was lying on the ground on North 8th Street. Police Officers quickly located a 16-year-old Paterson, New Jersey boy, on North 8th Street, unresponsive from a gunshot wound. The teen was immediately transported by Paterson Fire and Emergency Medical Services to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where, despite life-saving efforts, the teen succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased a short time later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported at this time, as Detectives are continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the events that led up to the shooting death of the teen.
