Ravenna Child Predator Sentenced For Federal Child Pornography Crimes

CLEVELAND, OH.- Last Monday, a 47-year-old Ravenna, Ohio, man learned he will be spending over a decade in federal prison after being sentenced for receiving and distributing digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of prepubescent children, including some depicting sexual violence against young children by adults.
According to U.S. Attorney David M. Toepher, on Monday, August 18, 2025, Daniel Alan Robertson, 47, of Ravenna, Ohio, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Charles Esque Fleming to 121 months in federal prison, to be followed by ten years of supervised release after pleading guity in May, to Receipt and Distribution to Child Pornography.
In addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge Fleming ordered Robertson to pay $117,500 to his identified victims and $10,000 in Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act assessments.
According To Court Documents
According to documents and statements made in the District Court, beginning on and about March 1, 2024, and lasting through December 4, 2024, Robertson utilized peer-to-peer file sharing programs to view, download, and distribute digital images and video files of child pornography, many of which included prepubescent girls engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
During the execution of a federal court-authorized search warrant in December 2024, Investigators seized multiple electronic devices, including a computer, two laptops, and several SD storage devices, from Robertson’s home.
A subsequent forensic examination of the devices uncovered hundreds of digital images and video files of child pornography, including several of children who were under the age of twelve, as well as children engaged in sadistic and being subjected to sexual violence by adults.
Investigators Identified 20 Of Robertson’s Child Victims
During the investigation, the digital images and video files were submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children for further review, and investigators were able to identify 20 of Robertson’s victims.
