KNOXVILLE, TN.- Last Wednesday, a 34-year-old Sevierville, Tennessee, man, and admitted child predator, learned he will be in his early sixties when he is finally released from federal prison after being sentenced for creating child pornography of a 7-year-old family member.

According to U.S. Attorney Francis M. Hamilton, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, Lucus Ray Hall, 34, of Sevierville, Tennessee, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Thomas A. Varlan to 360 months in federal prison, to be followed by fifteen years of supervised release after pleading guilty to a federal child pornography charge.

According to the plea agreement filed with the District Court, Hall agreed to plead guilty to a federal indictment charging him with one count of Production of Child Pornography.

According To Court Documents

According to court documents, in February 2024, the Sevierville County Sheriff’s Office and the Sevierville Police Department received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding digital images and an imminent threat to a young child. Based on the information provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, law enforcement Investigators were able to trace the IP address used to distribute the digital images of child pornography to a Sevierville, Tennessee home where Hall resided.

Investigators further uncovered that the seven-year-old child victim in the digital images was related to Hall.

During his plea allocution, Hall admitted to producing the digital images of child pornography using his cellular phone. Hall further admitted he used the child pornography to go on child pornography chat forums and trade the digital images for other child pornography.

In handing down the sentence last Wednesday, in addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge Varlan also ordered Hall, upon release from prison, to register as a sex offender and comply with special sex offender conditions.

U.S. Attorney Hamilton commended the investigative work of the Sevierville Police Department, the Sevierville County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Knoxville Police Department, which led to the successful prosecution of Hall.
