LEXINGTON, KY.- A 26-year-old Scott County, Kentucky, man will be spending the next eight years in federal prison after being sentenced on Tuesday in Federal Court in Lexington, Kentucky, for federal drug trafficking crimes.

According to Acting U.S. Attorney Paul McCaffrey, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, Marvelous Davis, 26, of Georgetown, Kentucky, appeared in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky and was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Karen Caldwell to 93 months in federal prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, after pleading guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl; and Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime.

According To Court Documents

According to the charging information and statements made in the District Court, on November 12, 2024, Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in which Davis was a passenger. During a subsequent search of the vehicle, Police Officers located a firearm without a serial number, commonly known as a “Ghost Gun,” under Davis’ seat. Additionally, Police Officers located 39.7 grams of pressed counterfeit pills containing fentanyl.
