LAKEWOOD, NJ.- A 67-year-old Lakewood Township, New Jersey, man will be facing up to ten years in New Jersey State Prison when he is sentenced later this year, after pleading guilty to distributing digital images and video files depicting the sexual exploitation and abuse of children.
According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, on Monday, September 15, 2025, Christopher Brondi, 67, of Lakewood, New Jersey, appeared in Ocean County Superior Court and pleaded guilty before Superior Court Judge Kenneth T. Palmer to second-degree Distribution of Child Pornography.
Brondi Will Be Facing 10 Years In New Jersey State Prison
In return for the guilty plea, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office will recommend that Brondi be sentenced to 10 years in State Prison, with five years of parole ineligibility, as well as parole supervision for life. Upon release from prison, Brondi will be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law registration requirements. Following entering his guilty plea, Judge Palmer accepted the plea and scheduled sentencing for a time and date to be determined by the Superior Court.
The charge and Monday’s guilty plea stem from an investigation that began when Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Squad identified an IP address associated with a Lakewood Township, New Jersey, residence from which an individual later identified as Brondi was uploading digital images of child pornography to the internet.
Detectives Uncover Hundreds Of Child Pornography Files
On May 29, 2024, Detectives executed a court-authorized search warrant on Brondi’s Lakewood home. During the search, Detectives seized electronic devices. During an initial forensic examination of the devices, Detectives uncovered hundreds of media files containing child pornography. Accordingly, Brondi was taken into custody and charged. At that time, Brondi was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Ocean County Jail. Following his first appearance in Ocean County Superior Court, Brondi was released on monitoring conditions.
During a subsequent and extensive forensic examination of the electronic devices seized from Brondi’s home, Investigators determined that he had distributed more than 25 media files containing child pornography over the internet, utilizing a file-sharing program.Â
