JERSEY CITY, NJ.- On Thursday, following a nearly three-week investigation, a 41-year-old Jersey City, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being formally charged in connection with allegedly groping a preteen girl that occurred late last month inside a local store in Jersey City, New Jersey.

According to Acting Hudson County Prosecutor Wayne Melo, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, Prince Fullwood, 41, of Jersey City, New Jersey, was formally charged with one count of second-degree Sexual Assault by Contact; and third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was taken into custody at his Jersey City residence by Detectives from the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.

Fullwood Was Jailed After Being Charged

Fullwood was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Hudson County Correctional Facility pending future court proceedings in Hudson County Superior Court in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Investigation Uncovers That Fullwood Sexually Groped Young Girl

The charges stem from an investigation that began on August 31, 2025, when an 11-year-old girl reported to the Police that while inside a local store located in the area of Summit and Baldwin Avenues in the City, she was approached by an unknown man and was inappropriately touched. During the investigation, based on witness descriptions, including the child victim, Detectives were able to identify Fullwood as the suspect.
