MANCHESTER, NJ.- On Thursday, following an investigation, a 34-year-old Manchester Township, New Jersey, man, and former Hamilton Township, New Jersey, school educator, was formally charged with the alleged sexual assault of a fourth child.

According to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer, on Thursday, September 17, 2025, Darnell Williams, 34, of Manchester Township, New Jersey, was formally charged with Sexual Assault; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Charges Stem From An Ocean County Child Sex Crimes Investigation

The charges stem from an investigation that was conducted by Detectives of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and the Manchester Township Police Department, which uncovered that in 2015, Williams allegedly sexually assaulted a minor female victim who was in his care in Manchester Township, New Jersey.

Williams will be served with and processed on the charges at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, where he is presently being detained pending trial on three counts of Sexual Assault; three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child; and three counts of Official Misconduct stemming from an Atlantic County investigation into the alleged sexual assaults of three children that occurred while Williams was employed with the Hamilton Township School District.

Prosecutor Billhimer Releases A Statement, Advising The Public

“Although the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office does not typically issue a press release in matters such as this, due to their sensitive nature and out of respect for the victim’s privacy, this defendant previously held positions supervising minors in Atlantic and Ocean Counties, thereby necessitating this alert to the public. I urge anyone in possession of information concerning this investigation, or any additional information concerning this defendant’s conduct, to contact Detective Delaney Huber of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at (732) 929-2027, Ext. 3218,” stated Prosecutor Billhimer.

“The rules of the court require us to include a statement that states: The charges outlined in this publication are merely accusations, and the defendant and or defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond reasonable doubt.”
