PHILLIPSBURG, NJ.- On Tuesday, a 46-year-old Phillipsburg, New Jersey, man, and convicted child predator learned his fate that he will be spending the next three decades in New Jersey State Prison, after being sentenced for repeatedly sexually assaulting a young child for over a year, from 2015 to 2016.

According to Acting Warren County Prosecutor Jessica L. Cardone, on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Victor I. Rosado, 46, formerly of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, appeared in Warren County Superior Court and was sentenced by Superior Court Judge H. Matthew Curry to 30 years in State Prison, subject to the No Early Release Act, which will Rosado to serve 85% of his custodial term before becoming eligible for parole.

In addition to the term of imprisonment, Rosado will be subject to parole supervision for life and be required to register as a sex offender pursuant to Megan’s Law requirements for his conviction of child sex crimes.

Rosado Convicted In April On Multiple Counts

On April 17, 2025, following a trial in Warren County Superior Court before Judge Curry, a jury found Rosado guilty of four counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault; and two counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

The conviction and Tuesday’s sentence stem from an investigation that determined that Rosado sexually assaulted a young child who was known to him on multiple occasions in Phillipsburg when the child was between the ages of nine and eleven years old. Following the sex crimes, Rosado relocated to Florida, where he was later apprehended.

Acting Warren County Prosecutor Cardone commended the investigative work of the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit, the Phillipsburg Police Department, the New Jersey State Police Laboratory, and the St. Lucie County, Florida, Sheriff’s Office, which led to the successful prosecution of Rosado.
