Police Charge Man In Southeast Strong-Arm Robbery

WASHINGTON, DC.- Last Friday, a 23-year-old Washington, D.C., man was taken into custody and charged in connection with a robbery that occurred in Southeast, D.C. 

     According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Friday, October 10, 2025, shortly after 11:30 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a robbery near the intersection of 8th Street and Heights Alley in Southeast, D.C.

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a victim who reported to them that while in the area of 8th Street near Heights Alley, they were approached by the suspects who threatened and demanded money from them, and took their money before the suspects fled the scene.

Police Officers Located Ant Apprehend One Of The Suspects

     A short time later, while canvassing the area, and based on a description provided by the victim, Police Officers located one of the suspects, identified as Davon Lindsey, 23, of Southeast, D.C., and placed him under arrest. Following being taken into custody, Police Officers formally charged Lindsey with one count of Robbery by Fear. 

     Lindsey was processed on the charge and was remanded to the D.C. Central Detention Facility pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

     The investigation remains active, as Police Officers and Detectives continue the search for the additional suspects.
