Police Searching For Suspect In Early Sunday Morning Shooting In Passaic

PASSAIC, NJ.- Police are continuing their search for the gunman who opened fire early Sunday morning in the downtown section of the City of Passaic, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Sunday, October 19, 2025, just minutes after 3:30 a.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to a report of gunfire near the intersection of Jefferson Street and Main Avenue in the City of Passaic.
Police Find Shooting Crime Scene
Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to find evidence of a shooting crime scene but were unable to locate a victim. During the initial investigation and after inquiring with local hospitals, Police Officers determined that no one was injured in the shooting.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported at this time, as Police continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
