Man Fatally Gunned Down Saturday Night In Southeast, D.C.

WASHINGTON, DC.- The D.C.Metropolitan Police Department is continuing the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a 37-year-old Washington, D.C., man who was found dead late Saturday night on a Southeast, D.C. street.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, just shortly after 9:30 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to reports of gunfire on the 3200 Block of 15th Place in Southeast, D.C.
Police Find Man Fatally Gunned Down
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a man, identified as Eric Jones, 37, of Southeast, D.C., on the ground having succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Jones was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported as Detectives continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
