Randolph Woman, Missing For Over 3 Months, Safely Located & Returned Home

RANDOLPH, NJ.- On Tuesday, a 26-year-old Randolph, New Jersey, woman who was reported missing in early July was found safe in New York City and has been returned home.
According to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Destiny Erts, 26, of Randolph, New Jersey, who was first reported missing on July 11, 2025, after being seen outside at the Dover Public Library, was located and found unharmed on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in Harlem, New York, following a months-long, extensive investigation.
Prosecutor Carroll commended the tireless efforts of the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Missing Persons Unit, the New Jersey Department of Human Services Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the New York City Police Department, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies, which led to Ms. Erts being located and safely returned home.
Prosecutor Carroll additionally thanked the public for their assistance and for their expressions of concern about Ms. Erts’s well-being during the investigation.
