Man Struck By Gunfire Late Wednesday Night In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- A 20-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man remains hospitalized after being struck by gunfire in the Riverside section of Paterson, New Jersey.

     According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Wednesday, October 23, 2025, just shortly after 10:45 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to a 911 Emergency Call reporting gunfire near the intersection of Arch and North 1st Streets in the City of Paterson.

Police Officers Find 20-Year-Old Man Shot

     Upon arrival, Police Officers located a shooting victim, identified as a 20-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The man was immediately transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment, and his condition has not been reported. 

     During the initial investigation, Responding Police Officers and Detectives were able to locate evidence of a shooting crime scene at that location.

     The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported, as Detectives continue the search for the gunman and the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
