In addition to the term of imprisonment, Judge Amirata ordered Kelly to be subject to parole supervision for life, and upon release from prison, to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law registration requirements.

The guilty plea and sentence stem from an investigation that began when the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received six CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an individual within the Morris County, New Jersey, area who was utilizing a Kik Instant Messaging account to distribute more than 100 digital media files containing child pornography.

During the investigation, Investigators identified Kelly as the individual who, between July 2024 and October 2024, utilized the Kik Instant Messaging application account to share media files containing child pornography. Kelly was subsequently arrested on November 26, 2024, and formally charged.
