Teenage Girl Struck By Gunfire Sunday Night In The City Of Paterson

PATERSON, NJ.- An 18-year-old Paterson, New Jersey, woman was hospitalized after being struck by gunfire Sunday night in the Eastside neighborhood in the City of Paterson, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camela M. Valdes, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, just shortly after 9:30 p.m., members of the Paterson Police Department responded to reports of gunfire in the area of East 25th Street and 23rd Avenue in the City of Paterson.
Police Officers Learn That The Victim Had Arrived At The Hospital
Upon arrival at the scene, Police Officers were notified that an 18-year-old Paterson, New Jersey woman had arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, requesting treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Following interviewing the female shooting victim, Responding Police Officers determined that the woman was struck by gunfire at that location. During the ensuing investigation, Police Officers and Detectives located evidence of a shooting crime scene.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported as of Monday morning, as Detectives continue their investigation into the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
