Northeast Man Dies Of Injuries Sustained In Early Saturday Morning Northwest Shooting

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Monday, a 27-year-old Washington, D.C., man died from the injuries he sustained after being shot multiple times early Saturday morning inside a Columbia Heights, Northwest, D.C. apartment.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Saturday, October 25, 2025, just minutes before 2:00 a.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District responded to reports of gunfire inside an apartment unit located in a building on the 3200 Block of Hiatt Place in Northwest, D.C.
Upon Making Entry Into The Appartment Police Find Man Shot
Upon arrival, Police Officers made entry into the apartment and discovered Jermaine McGee-Holmes, 27, of Northeast, D.C., suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. McGee-Holmes was immediately transported by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to a nearby hospital, where, despite life-saving efforts, Mr. McGee-Holmes succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on Monday, October 27, 2025.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. No arrests have been reported as D.C. Homicide Branch Detectives continue the search for the gunman and a motive for the shooting.
