Police Searching For Gunman In Halloween Night Gunfire Incident

PASSAIC, NJ.- Detectives of the Passaic Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are continuing the search for the gunman who opened fire Friday night in Passaic, New Jersey.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, on Friday, October 31, 2025, just shortly before 9:15 p.m., members of the Passaic Police Department responded to a report of gunfire in the area of Sherman Street and Hope Avenue in the City of Passaic.
Upon arrival, Police Officers were able to locate evidence of a shooting crime scene, but were unable to locate a victim. After inquiring with area hospitals, Responding Police Officers determined that no one was injured in the shooting, and the matter was referred to Detectives for further investigation.
The investigation remains ongoing.
