NORTH BRUNSWICK, NJ.- Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone reported that on Tuesday, a North Brunswick, New Jersey, juvenile was taken into custody in connection with a bomb threat at the Livingston Park Elementary School polling location.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at around 8:15 a.m., the North Brunswick Police Department began receiving multiple reports of a bomb threat at the Livingston Park Elementary School via text messaging.

Members of the North Brunswick Police Department responded to the school. During an extensive search of the school, Police Officers, with the assistance of K-9 explosive detection units of the Middlesex County Sheriff’s Department, were able to clear the location of any potential explosive devices.

During the ensuing investigation, Detective Sean McCorry of the New Brunswick Police Department quickly identified a North Brunswick juvenile as the suspect. Following the identification, the teen was taken into custody by the North Brunswick Police Department, and during the arrest, Detectives recovered the electronic devices allegedly used to carry out the threat.

Detectives have not reported whether the juvenile was responsible for the additional bomb threats that occurred in seven other counties across the State of New Jersey,  as polling locations began to open in those locations.

     The investigation remains ongoing.
