National Guard Troops Apprehend Richmond Man In Northwest Gunpoint Robbery

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Sunday, a 20-year-old Richmond, Virginia, man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with robbing a man inside the lobby of an apartment building earlier Sunday afternoon in Northwest, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at around 3:45 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report of a gunpoint robbery that had occurred in the lobby of an apartment building located on the 800 Block of 10th Street in Northwest, D.C.
Upon arrival, Police Officers located a victim, who was with United States Secret Service Officers and members of the National Guard. The victim told Police Officers that while he was in the lobby of the apartment building, a suspect identified as Brandon Stallworth, 20, of Richmond, Virginia, approached him, pulled out a handgun, and robbed him of his money and belongings, who then fled out of the building.
Secret Service Officers And National Guard Troops Apprehend Stallworth
Following being robbed, the victim followed Stallworth out of the building and down the sidewalk, where he flagged down U.S. Secret Service Officers and National Guard Troops who were nearby, who quickly apprehended Stallworth, who was unlawfully in possession of a firearm.
Stallworth was taken into custody by Metropolitan Police Officers and formally charged with one count of Armed Robbery; and one count of Possession of an Unregistered Firearm. Stallworth was processed on the charges and was remanded to the D.C. Central Detention Facility pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
