Little Ferry Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Preteen Child

LITTLE FERRY, NJ.- On Sunday, following a months-long child sex crimes investigation, a 71-year-old Little Ferry, New Jersey, man was taken into custody and jailed after being criminally charged in connection with the alleged repeated sexual assaults of a child.
According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, on Sunday, June 15, 2025, members of the Little Ferry Police Department contacted Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding an allegation of the sexual assault of a juvenile that had occurred some years ago.
Detectives Determined That Osmani Sexually Assaulted The Child
During the ensuing investigation, and following interviewing witnesses, including the child victim, Detectives of the Bergen County Special Victims Unit and the Little Ferry Police Department determined that Imri Osmani, 71, of Little Ferry, New Jersey, sexually assaulted the child on multiple occasions, between May 2018 and May 2020, in Little Ferry, New Jersey.
Accordingly, as a result of the investigation, on Thursday, July 3, 2025, Detectives formally charged Osmani with first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault; second-degree Sexual Assault; and two counts of second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, Osmani was located and taken into custody in Newark, New Jersey, by Detectives of the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, with the assistance of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey Police Department, and Customs and Border Patrol Agents.
Osmani was processed on the charges and was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending future court proceedings in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack, New Jersey.
