Police Charge Man In March 2025, Elvans Road Fatal Shooting Death

WASHINGTON, DC.- On Tuesday, a 27-year-old Washington, D.C., man was taken into custody and jailed after being charged in connection with fatally gunning down a Waldorf, Maryland, man back in March 2025, in Southeast, D.C.
According to D.C. Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela A. Smith, and as previously reported, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, just minutes after 7:00 p.m., members of the D.C. Metropolitan Police Department’s Seventh District responded to reports of gunfire on the 2400 Block of Elvans Road in Southeast, D.C.
Police Officers Find Waldorf, Maryland Shot Dead
Upon arrival, Police Officers discovered a man, who was later identified as Tre’von Norman, 25, of Waldorf, Maryland, unresponsive, having succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Norman was pronounced deceased at the scene.
During the ensuing investigation, based on witness descriptions and area video surveillance footage, Detectives were able to identify Corey Noble, 27, of Southeast, D.C., as the shooter and the individual responsible for the death of Mr. Norman, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
On Tuesday, November 18, 2025, pursuant to the D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant, Noble was located and taken into custody by members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and formally charged with first-degree Murder While Armed; and Felony Murder.
Noble was processed on the charges and was remanded to the D.C. Central Detention Facility pending future court proceedings in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
